Brush Fire

This afternoon, Station 3 responded to a rapidly escalating grass fire in the Ranchland neighborhood. Upon arrival, Engine 3 discovered approximately 1 to 2 acres of brush and wood line engulfed in flames, rapidly spreading towards residential properties. Station 4 was dispatched to provide water supply, while Medic 3 and North Carolina Forestry Services were also present at the incident.

Although the burn ban has been lifted, the conditions for fires to escalate remain high. Therefore, it is imperative that you have a readily accessible water source. We are always available to assist in the event of an emergency. Do not hesitate to call 911 for assistance.
