Before you dive into the turkey, stuffing, and that one casserole nobody admits to bringing… here are a few Turkey Day Safety Tips to keep your house un-crispy this holiday:
🔥 Thanksgiving Safety Tips:
• Keep an eye on the fryer — turkeys are delicious, but fireballs are not.
• Stay in the kitchen when cooking — ovens don’t babysit themselves.
• Keep children & pets away from hot surfaces — yes, that includes the dog who thinks he’s a chef.
• Deep-frying outside only — the kitchen is not a science lab, even if it looks like one today.
• Check smoke alarms — that “beep” you’ve been ignoring all month? Yeah… today’s not the day for that.
• Keep combustibles away from the stove — oven mitts, paper towels, and Aunt Linda’s scarf.
• Don’t overload outlets — those crockpots will absolutely start a turf war.
• Let the turkey rest… and PLEASE let yourself rest too — no need to carve a finger.
From all of us at Moyock Fire Department Station 3,
❤️ We are thankful for this amazing community. Stay safe & enjoy your feast! 🥧🚒
